Launching Slatebeat: Local Real Estate Intelligence, Built by an Agent

I spent 20 years as a TV anchor at KPRC in Houston. The job is two things: showing up, and knowing what to say when you do. Real estate is the same.

The problem most agents have isn't that they don't want to make content. It's that they don't know what to say, or they say something generic, or they sit down to record and freeze.

Generic AI doesn't fix this. If you ask ChatGPT for "ten real estate content ideas," it'll give you ten things every other agent in the country is already posting. Open houses. Market updates. "Just listed." You sound like the algorithm wrote it because the algorithm did.

What Slatebeat does differently

Slatebeat is built for the show-up part of the job. Three things make it different from the generic AI tools every other agent is using:

1. It knows your ZIP code. Real, localized data — not a paragraph about "the Houston market" that could be Phoenix or Dallas with one word swapped. You enter a ZIP, you get content ideas grounded in what's actually happening in that neighborhood.

2. It's built by an agent. I'm a licensed Texas agent at Real Brokerage. Every feature in here exists because I or someone I trust needed it. The voice-guided property walk on the Flip Calculator? That exists because nobody wants to type into a spreadsheet on their phone while standing in someone's busted-up kitchen.

3. It doesn't post for you. Slatebeat hands you the playbook. You still have to show up and hit record. That's the whole point — your voice, your face, your market. Slatebeat just makes sure you know what to say when the camera turns on.

The product suite

Today, Slatebeat includes:

  • Ideas Engine — hyper-local content ideas with hooks, talking points, shot lists.
  • Carousel — drop a local news article, get back a 9-slide Instagram carousel with your professional take.
  • Pipeline — upload a video, get back a content brief with transcript, key moments, ready-to-post captions, editor notes.
  • Flip Calculator — drop an address, pull live property data, score the deal, build a scope of work. Voice-guided walkthrough mode for in-the-field assessments.

Coming next: a video academy for the on-camera side, and a market insights dashboard for the data side.

Who it's for

Slatebeat is free for Real Brokerage agents in the Real Edge Network. Pro plans for everyone else are $20/month. If you're not happy with what AI tools are doing for your real estate business, give it a shot.
